Best Holiday Gift Guide for Yoga Friends

Find the most thoughtful, fun, and intentional gifts for the people in your circles who practice yoga at home or in studios! From props and mats to books and clothing, this list options for all price points.

If you know someone who love yoga, here are some intentional gifts to share to support their practice.

After over a decade of practicing and teaching yoga, the items in this post are some of my favorite items to give and receive.

There are pictures of some but not all of them. I only recommend things I love and or know work substantially similar to an item I have or have tried and paid for with my own money.

*Note that a few of the items below are associated with Amazon links that provide a small commission if items are purchased through those links.

Most Practical Gift: Instead of an item, gift your yoga friend (or yourself) an experience, like a sound bath, aerial yoga session, retreat, or a class at a new studio in your area.

The Winter Yoga Retreat at Current Bliss is on Saturday, December 13th from 10am to 4pm. This day is for the tired, for the vulnerable warriors who seek refuge to settle their souls, nourish their bellies, and pause after a long year. For those who let it all burn down in the fall and are sitting next to a smoldering fire that will be your heat source for months as you let yourself be dormant like nature before you rise again in the spring.

A beautiful community circle for a reading by Allyse on digestion and fall energy.

Best Yoga Sweatshirt: Pick up cool gear like the sweatshirt below from Susanna Barkataki’s amazing yoga site. All sales from the her site towards scholarships.

Yoga is social justice

I have three special yoga sweatshirts from Yoga Changemaker Apparel! This one says “Yoga is social justice.”

Anthropologie Daily Practice Sweatpants

Most Comfortable Sweat Pants: Great for gentle and slow flow yoga classes. The wide leg allows room to move without feeling constricted. The length is perfect (I’m 5’7), and the way the material is nicely wrapped at the ankle means no tripping on pant legs when switching poses. These are great in any color!

Nicest Yoga Home/Studio Décor: From mobiles, garland, and ornaments to fine art and crystal grids, these items offer luxury and intention for special places. Last year, I gifted several yoga asana ornaments to friends.

Best under $40 Yoga Tool: This eye pillow is such a simple luxury that helps with the practice of pratayahra (withdrawal of a sense). It also can be used for sleep. *This product is associated with an affiliate link.

Most Fun Yoga Prop (land): This yoga wheel can be used in different ways to support back bends. *This product is associated with an affiliate link.

Most Fun Yoga Prop (water): For the adventurous movers, this paddleboard is extra wide for SUP yoga fun! I husband gifted me this awesome pink one for my birthday. *This product is associated with an affiliate link.

Flypark Pink Paddle Board - Large enough for your yoga moves or your dog to ride along

Liforme Green Mat - Waylon (and his hair) not included

Best Mat Upgrade: If you want to really treat someone, upgrade them to a Liforme mat! The markings are beautiful and functional because they help with potential alignment and focus. This is the best mat I’ve ever owned.

Coolest Yoga Books: Gifting opportunities for learning and new approaches to yoga is a thoughtful gift for anyone practicing yoga. See my top 6 book recommendations for teachers and students here! *The linked books are associated with an affiliate link.

Kindest Yoga Card Deck: Sometimes practicing yoga at home or on the go is hard. Make it easy for someone to practice by sharing this card deck that offers a suggested posture and conveys a kind reminder to the reader. I own several yoga card decks and these are the best by far! *The linked cards are associated with an affiliate link.
